The "Blog Spot" at Swiftpassage

Our blog participates in the OpenID framework:

Portal VortexSwiftpassage is, superficially, a web-server located in an airy cedar-shingled house on the South Newport River close to Townsend, Georgia. Beyond that, it is a big, cluttered "table-top" in a disheveled but homey office, strewn with pictures, stories, grocery lists, poems, "bucket" lists and cracker-crumbs. As with so many other cluttered places, it enjoys your curiosity, and invites you to join in the scrappy-book fun.

Comment where you can within the blog, using any of a variety of supported web identities (OpenID, Twitter, Yahoo), or register with our blog, and contribute material for publication here. If it fits what we do, I'll find a place for it, and publish it, and send you the link so you can point your friends at it.

You may also contribute using an OpenID identity. OpenID is a versatile framework where you can log in using your identity from any one of many other blogs which serve your identity via that protocol. It's a framework to visit other blogs without having to create unique user identities within each community. Mostly, it saves remembering user-names and passwords. If you have a blog at LiveJournal, gmail, or other OpenID forums, you can try logging in with that ID, and participate here.

To Log In Using GMAIL, do this: cut and paste this address in the OpenID user-name block:

https://www.google.com/accounts/o8/id

This will take you to a google log-in page, where they will ask if you want to log into swiftpassage. Log into gmail there, and it will re-direct you back to here, and you will be able to comment, and post to the site.

If you write, shoot pictures, or just like to lurk or comment, please visit often. If you register, and want your own blog-tab for use as a notebook, scrawl-space, or album, please use the contact link at the top of this page, drop me a line, and let me know.

This blog server runs the Plone Content Management System from an Ubuntu-Debian-based server at swiftpassage.com. The project was undertaken to provide a workspace for family and friends to organize journal entries, photos, links, and other content, to keep us in touch with each other on a day to day basis.

Thanks for visiting!
