And a bright cheery good morning to you, too!

Ah, Elliott: the differences being (a) I (try to) hide my down mood swings, (b) mine don’t last for more than a few hours at most, and (c) if life is a roller coaster, you’re in the big-time, scary, mile-high thrills and I’m in the kiddie park. Still, thank you for being there last night! It did help...though there was no way I’d have admitted it last night. And I promise never to be so damned cheerful when you’re down again, okay? Unless, of course, you need cheerfulness and I can’t help myself.

The sun is up, the coffee’s good, and I still have that warm feeling fresh from the bedcovers where the cold hasn’t quite hit me yet.

Three boxes in the mail yesterday: One is a first edition of a book where I’m editing the second, another was an early birthday present for Margie (see? It pays to read Mom’s blog, huh?), and the third was a DVD/book combo that looked interesting. Not that I can play the DVD, but that’s a topic for another depression! Besides, maybe I’ll have a DVD player before I have a chance to get depressed about not watching it, and would have therefore wasted a perfectly good depression.

Depression is a bug; I just have a very good immune system.

Anyway, this post is mostly to assure any readers (of which there are, what? Three?) that I’m perfectly fine, as usual. So there! (Defiant, maybe, but fine.)
